We are seeing an abundance of items in our lost and found. Unfortunately, Apptegy does not allow to comment on these posts. So, if you see anything that belongs to your child, please email me or send a message through this app to let me know what belongs to your child. Erin.mabe@hardin.kyschools.us

Dear Parents/Guardians of Vine Grove Elementary,
To help your child be prepared for any unexpected situations that may occur during the school day, we are kindly requesting that you send a change of clothes to be kept at school for your child. Every student has their own cubby and they can keep the change of clothing in their backpack. Accidents like spills in the cafeteria, personal accidents, and other unanticipated messes/accidents can and do happen. Having a personal set of extra clothing allows your child to get back to their day quickly and comfortably and minimize embarrassment and tears. We, oftentimes, do not have what your child needs available at school, and we know that many of you work and are not able to leave your place of employment. Keeping a change of clothes at school can reduce your stress, as well as your child's.
What to send:
A shirt
A pair of pants or shorts
Socks
Underwear
A bag to bring soiled clothing home
Important Reminders:
Please remember to check your child’s backpack in case a new set of clothing is needed and soiled clothing is present.
Clothing needs to follow Vine Grove’s dress code.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us create a comfortable and prepared environment for all our students.

ATTENTION PARENTS, STAFF AND COMMUNITY!!!
HCS needs your help! This week is Safe Schools Week across Kentucky! Our friends at the Kentucky Center for School Safety are asking students, parents, staff and community members to pledge to keep our students safe.
HCS is currently ranked 6th in the state in the number of pledges received! You can help us move up the list and win the challenge!!!
Please click this link to take an approximately 20-second pledge to keep our students safe while at school: https://kycss.org/safe-schools-week/safety-week-pledge/

This week, we’re proud to recognize students who have gone above and beyond in demonstrating responsibility, whether it's completing assignments on time, helping others, or showing leadership in the classroom and beyond.
Join us in celebrating these outstanding learners who exemplify what it means to take ownership of their actions, choices, and learning!
Keep an eye out for their spotlights around the school and on our social media. Way to go, kiddos! You make us proud!
